Betty Lee Taylor Hagerty

Betty Lee is the President of Community Health Charities of Connecticut.  This unique nonprofit partnership created by the business community 35 years ago supports the work of health charities with wellness programs, services and efficient workplace fundraising, raising more than $5 million annually.

Experienced in both corporate and nonprofit leadership, Betty Lee Taylor Hagerty has served as Vice President of a major corporation and has also founded several nonprofit organizations.  As a consultant for nonprofit and business management, she has worked with such organizations as The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, the Partnership for New Jersey and the National YWCA.

The programs she developed have won many awards and White House recognition.

Peggy Lutz
Senior Vice President

As Senior Vice President, Peggy Lutz manages over $1 million in marketing, sales and administrative activities in Fairfield County and in western and eastern Connecticut as well as identifying new workplace giving campaigns and growing established campaigns.  Peggy has 15 years experience in the nonprofit sector - including 6 years as Executive Director of a local chapter of the American Cancer Society. 

Peggy is the Co-Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, a member of the Board of Directors of the Stratford Visiting Nurses Association and is a member of the Junior League of Greenwich.


Margaret E. Andrews
Account Executive

Currently an Account Executive, Margaret assists with new campaign development, in addition to managing and growing current corporate relationships and campaign efforts.  Margaret has more than 13 years experience in hospital management and 10 years as an owner of a business to business advertising and public relations firm and is an adjunct faculty member at Albertus Magnus College, where she teaches communications, media and marketing courses.

Margaret is a member of the Leadership Fairfield County Class of 2000, Fairfield County Public Relations Association, SACIA, the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, the Fairfield County Chorale and is a member of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels in Stamford.

Laurie Dorn
Finance Director

As Finance Director, Laurie handles Community Health Charities of Connecticut’s finances, including the preparation of financial statements, tracking pledged receipts and distributing funds to local health charities. Laurie also coordinates all human resource matters from processing payroll to administering and maintaining employee benefits and business insurances.  Laurie holds Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting. 

Prior to coming to Community Health Charities of Connecticut, Laurie worked for ten years as self-employed accountant for a variety of business clientele.


Susan Zalewa Tupper, RN, MSN
Wellness Coordinator

As wellness Coordinator, Susan promotes and organizes Lunch & Learn, a workplace wellness program specially designed by Community Health Charities of Connecticut and its partnership of charities for Connecticut companies that support Community Health Charities through workplace giving campaigns.

Susan has been a registered nurse for 21 years and has earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior. Prior to joining Community Health Charities, Susan spent 16 years in recruiting and human resources and is a contributor to RN Magazine.
